Kranji Primary School will be the second primary school to open in the new Tengah town area, along with Pioneer Primary School and Anglo-Chinese School (Primary). The MOE kindergarten (MK), MK@Kranji, will also be moving to the same site.
To facilitate the relocation, Kranji Primary and MK@Kranji will not be accepting new students from 2025 and will be in operation until all current students graduate. Kranji Primary is expected to close by the end of 2029, while MK@Kranji will remain in operation until the end of 2025.
Outram Secondary School will be moving from its current site in York Hill to Sengkang. To minimize disruption, the school will not admit new Secondary 1 students in 2025 and will begin accepting them at its new campus in 2026. The school will operate at both campuses until 2027, when its last batch of Secondary 4 students graduate.
In addition, a new primary school with an MOE kindergarten will open in Tampines North in 2029, while another new kindergarten will be located in Bukit View Primary School’s new campus in Bukit Batok West in 2028.
The MOE regularly reviews its plans for schools and MK placements to meet the changing demand for school and preschool places across the country.
