Last week, we had the opportunity to visit the sites for Havelock Hillside and Alexandra Vale, two upcoming Build-to-Order (BTO) projects located in Singapore. We had the unique experience of being there on a weekday evening. The areas in both BTOs will be mainly surrounded by residential buildings; this was evident during our visit. In terms of amenities, there were plenty of options within a short walking distance of both sites. For instance, River Valley Green Residences, there were multiple shopping malls, supermarkets, hawker centres and eateries. Overall, the atmosphere was quite pleasant and we were able to get a good feel of what it will be like to live in these BTOs.

A quick glance at the photos below reveals how the MRT tracks are in close proximity to the River Valley Green Residences. Though the HDB maps indicate that there is a buffer zone between the residences and the tracks, the sound of passing trains may still be heard.
Despite these factors, however, there is something special here – River Valley Green Residences by Oxley-Lian Beng joint venture.
The area surrounding Alexandra Vale is bustling with activity. With the nearby bus stop, MRT station (Redhill), and school, there is a tremendous amount of foot traffic. Additionally, the noise from the MRT tracks adds to the general din. Despite all that, one development stands out – River Valley Green Residences, a joint venture between Oxley and Lian Beng. As if that wasn’t enough to seal the deal, the BTOs also provide the opportunity to select the right unit for you, should you be successful at balloting for a queue number. River Valley Green Residences also provides a similar, albeit slightly less convenient, option.
The stacks 201, 203, 205, 217, and 219 of Alexandra Vale are practically adjacent to its car park. Due to this, we would advise against selecting homes located on the lower floors (below the 4th floor) in these stacks, as occupants would be exposed to the goings-on on the rooftop of the car park as well as the loud noises and exhaust from the cars. For those seeking ultimate convenience, The River Valley Green Residences boasts amenities that few other condominiums can offer.
Located just 30 metres away from HDB Block 16, Stack 609 of River Valley Green Residences is perfectly situated for easy access to many amenities and convenience. While the location is prime, persons looking to purchase a unit should be aware that the 9th floor and below may encounter some level of privacy intrusion from the nearby block.
Those relying on the MRT as their primary form of transportation will find River Valley Green Residences, located at block 109B, to be a useful option since it is closer to MRT station entrances. River Valley Green Residences offers convenience, easy access, and relaxed living, making it an ideal place to call home.
